Beaucoup d'amour pour le français!
Yesterday I found out the most exciting news! French magazine, Version Femina, featured my large bow headband in navy in an accessory article. It is always so nice when unexpected things happen regarding my shop. A huge thanks to everyone for always supporting me and giving me the kindest words throughout the years I've been in business!
This headband makes a wonderful and adorable added touch to most autumn attire. It is available for purchase in my shop in a slew of colors! ;)

Month of May in Instagram
I started working at a flower shop in center city as an assistant floral designer, and I absoutely love it!! I was hired with no experience and have been training and learning so much about flowers and plants. I think that I've even decided that Peonies and Ranunculus are my favorite flowers.
Bella wearing a floral crown my boss made for her! So stinking cute! :)
Celebrated Mothers day with my family at yummy restaurant Parc. Nom Nom Nom...
Saw Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's... Seriously one of the best shows I've ever been to. They played for a really long time and were completely awesome!
I made a little coffee table book with instagram photos from my trip to California. It turned out surprisingly well for a first time baby book. I am going to try and do this with all of the little trips I've taken so far this year... I think it's a great way to display and remember the good times.
I dyed my hair back to dark brown. I had fun with the ombre for a little while, but I am so happy to be back to my natural color! Change is good, but sometimes best is what you are born with. :)
New Booties to replace the ones I wore to death and have destroyed! Yay!
Memorial day BBQ feast! So yum!
I hope you all had an equally amazing month of May.

Take Care
I am anxiously awaiting the new Beach House album that comes out May 15. Until then, I have been listening to Teen Dream, specifically "Take Care" on repeat. It is the prettiest song ever... :)

Best Coast
I just returned from a spontaneous long weekend away on the California coast. Although short, it was truly one of the best vacations I've ever taken. I could totally see myself relocating to the west at some point in my life. It just feels like such a healthy life-style... in the short time there, I drove my bike all over Santa Monica and Venice, ate fresh blueberries by the handful, walked to and from the beach numerous times, taking in the sunshine and breathing in the fresh salty air coming off the ocean.
I feel silly for feeling this way since I should just be happy I was even able to take off and have this experience, but I feel sad and slightly depressed. Does this happen to you? Is post-vaca blues a real thing?
Until next time California... <333

Pennsylvania Abandon Turnpike
Two Sunday's ago, a large group of us traveled 3 hours out towards Pittsburgh on the turnpike to walk the long stretch of land that used to be part of the Pennsyvania Turnpike. It was closed down in 1968 when they needed to expand the lanes to ease congestion. We walked about 14 miles in total, and went through one mile long tunnel that left us in complete darkness when our flashlights were turned off.
Fun side note::: Some of the movie "The Road" was filmed in the Sideling Hill Tunnel... pretty cool, right!! :)
We all had a ton of fun, and I peed in the woods 4 times (Great Success!!) It was really a great trip, and I highly suggest it if you ever have the chance!

A Fresh Start
Cream Floral
In the past few months my life has changed drastically. I've had to make many decisions that were extremely hard. There was a lot of time spent in the "crying bed" surrounded by the best of friends that I am SO LUCKY to have that have accepted me at my worst and have been helping restore me to my best. That's the most I'll say about my blogging absence, but life is good now. I am happy and so excited for the future and the now. It is simply fabulous being back in Philadelphia... the city I love. :)
Over the past few weeks I've set aside my crochet hooks and have replaced them with my sewing machine. I've really enjoyed working with it, even though we have had our fair share of arguments, we still love and respect each other. ;)
Here are some wire headbands I made out of vintage and vintage inspired fabric that double as ascots. A lovely customer even told me she would wear one on her wrist! They are now for sale in my Etsy shop, so check them out. They are perfect for the coming warm months and even make really great gifts. Some of the fabric is one of a kind, so grab them while you can.
Plaid Fabric
Lavendar Fabric (My personal favorite!)
