Date Night!

Being with someone for almost 8 years certainly has its perks; you get to eat like a pig, burp, snore, pick your nose and do numerous other nasty things, yet you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing he's guaranteed to more than likely, still love you. Being with someone for 8 years can also be a bit of a drag(for lack of better words) occasionally. I talk to my friends about the fun, romantic dates they are going on or what boy they are kissing this week and then I hang up and go sit next to the old ball and chain... Now, don't get me wrong, I love Eric for sure, but it can be a bit difficult to sometimes not get caught in a rut. We've spoken about this numerous times and have come to the conclusion that we need to go on real live dates every few weeks to keep things exciting.

This morning while I was laying in bed, still half asleep with I'm sure tons of drool slobbering out of my mouth, Eric asked me out! We are going to this adorable little restaurant in our small town, and I am quite excited. It is close enough for us to walk, so I am praying the rain holds off at least until we get there. It would just be so romantic to walk home in the rain, right!?
