Mini Baby!
Yesterday I got the best, most exciting little birthday gift in the mail! A Mini Diana lomography camera! I'm so in love with her and am running out this morning to purchase some film. I can't wait to play around and take tons of awesome photos. The mini fits in the palm of my hand, and is the most perfect little accessory to take to any occasion. I am beyond siked! (Can ya tell!? ;)
I know, I know, my lens cap is on! I'm only pretending! ;)
What was the greatest gift you ever received?

Music Mondays
I was so super sad to hear of the passing of Amy Winehouse over the weekend. I found her to be such a ridiculously talented lady, and I was sincerely hoping she would be able to clean herself up and make another album for me to love. RIP Amy, I will treasure your music always.

Heat Wave
I don't know about where you guys live, but where I'm at right now, the heat is INSANE! Usually I'm not much of a complainer, but picture this... 3 fans, bag of ice, me tank top, shorts and hair pulled back, laying on the floor, covered in sweat. And that is me, for all day yesterday and I can only guess most of today and tomorrow. Yuck! I can not wait until fall. Give me snowstorms and rainfall baby! At least that's pretty to look at! :)
Okay, I swear thats all the complaining I will be doing in this post! :)
Wednesday was an awesome day! My dear friend Kasey and her lovely hubby John who run etsy shop kayemkay dropped by for a visit before they make a huge move next Tuesday and travel across the country to California! I'm so happy for them and can't wait to hear about their adventures in the golden state, but I will miss their presence on the east coast. Anyway! Kasey and I had a little collaboration photoshoot with her gorgeous dresses and a few of my hair accessories.
I am the proud owner of this beautiful bird heart dress! It is now for sale in her shop and it is a dream! :)
This one is Kasey's newest design and fits to hug every curve. It is gorgeous and I want it!(Along with everything else she makes... ;)
Eric came home from work just in time to get his photo taken!
And of course the adorableness that is Casey and John! Love them! :)
Stay cool, my friends! And if you are lucky enough to have a pool or somewhere to swim, do not tell me because I will become insanely jealous! ;)

Nom! Nom! Nom! - Sweet Potato French Fries
Lately I've been buying sweet potatoes and cooking awesome french fries! It is such a fast and easy recipe to whip up as a side dish and it looks very impressive. Perfect for entertaining, I guarantee your guests will love them! ;)
Ingredients
sweet potatoes (I cut up one per person)
olive oil
salt
pepper
nutmeg
cinnamon
1. Use a really sharp knife and cut into thin strips (I personally love them really crispy, so the thinner the better!)
2. Put them in a large bowl and add a tablespoon or so of olive oil. You want the potatoes to be covered, but not drenched.
3. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon to taste.
4. Lay out on a cookie sheet covered in tin foil coated in PAM, and put in the oven at 350. They take at least 20 minutes, sometimes longer depending on how crispy you make them.
Thats it, easy-peazy! ;) Serve hot and enjoy!
Don't forget to switch it up and use regular potatoes for french fries by following all of the steps above with only olive oil, salt and pepper!

Birthday Wish List
My birthday is coming up shortly(July 23 to be exact!) so yesterday, just for fun I created a birthday wish list treasury on Etsy and I think it looks pretty nice! I featured some of my most favorite sellers and items and I hope you enjoy! :)

Last night the hot, humid dreadful weather has seemed to of been taken away by a nice fall-like breeze. It makes me yearn for autumn and boots and capes and fire pits more than I can even say! I love the sound of the large maple tree out back rustling in the breeze. Autumn in this house is going to be incredible, I just know it!!! :)

Yellow Dress + Mini Bows
While cleaning out my closet at my parents house, I came across a few treasures that for whatever reason never made it into my steady wardrobe. I bought this Samantha Pleet for Urban dress a year or two ago on sale for pretty cheap. I'm not exactly sure why I never wore it... possibly the color(turns out I'm not much of a yellow person?) or the fact that it is linen??(the silliest reason of all!) I have to say, It felt nice taking it for a spin yesterday! It was also really fun to play around with my mini bow hair clips! I loved the look of two in my hair and clipping one to the strap of my dress. I think it added a really cute little detail. Whatcha think??
excuse my nerd face! :)
I bought these shoes on Sunday at the Nine West outlet, and oh wow I love love love them!!! NW was having an incredible buy one get one 50% off including sale shoes. I bought these lovely dancing shoes and a pair of cute flip flops for just 44 bucks! Score!
Dress: Rapscallion by Samantha Pleet for Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Nine West
Necklace: Vintage
Mini Bows: made by me! :) A great deal at only $15 bucks! Purchase here

Music Mondays + A Touch of Nostalgia
Nostalgia Number One...
I've been in a Dashboard type of mood lately, which is very high school of me. I believe this has been going on since Tuesday night when my friends and I went to a super fun party in Philadelphia called 'MakeoutClub.' They play all types of fun dancy-emo music and everyone sings super loud and it is all very nostalgic.

Nostalgia Number Two...
I became nostalgic again yesterday while unpacking my grandmothers fancy china. I remember countless holidays setting the table with this said china, and it made me miss my mom-mom something fierce! I'm so thankful to have so many of her beautiful things now in our house, I think she would be really happy to see Eric and I using everything. :)

And We Called It Home
Dear friends, meet the exterior of our lovely new home! Though it's been just a few days, I feel completely comfortable in our new surroundings and am finding the quietness extremely peaceful. I love watering all of the gardens in the evening and it seems we get the sweetest breeze at night. It truly feels like a magical place to live and I am so grateful for it. The other day I planted pumpkin seeds and I am hoping they flourish being it is already July! (Does the saying 'Better late than never' apply to plants??!)

Moving is forcing me to take a very short internet hiatus... I believe I will be all hooked up again sometime on Wednesday. Until then, I leave you with a photo of my pear tree! Aren't those little babies cute!!? I can't wait to enjoy them when they are bigger! Yum!
I hope all of you USA-ers have a safe and super fun Fourth of July weekend! :)
